We're getting so close :)

Wahoo the countdown to Baby Bee is getting closer and closer and we are just soooooooo excited! We have the nursery about 90% complete and my "to do" list is down to one or two unnecessary items! I have baby bee's bag completely packed and my bag is about 80% packed! I officially purchased my very first PINK item this past week and it felt a little weird. I guess with so many people telling me that baby bee "is definitely a boy" I have almost forgot the fact that baby bee could actually be a sweet little girl! I rushed to my favorite baby boutique, Baby Bloomers, and found the softest most adorable Kissy Kissy pink gown and a super girly polka dot headband with a BIG BOW on it :) I loveeeeeeeeee it! I also have a blue Magnolia Baby gown with a little "special delivery stork" on it. ahhhhh i cannot tell ya'll how excited I am for the moment when the doctor says.... " and the baby is a ________" I have not felt anxious about finding out the gender this entire pregnancy until the last week or so. Now I'm dying to find out, but secretly love the anticipation as weird as that sounds. Well, here are a few pictures of our nursery and a few of big mama! I will try to blog a lot more these next couple of weeks especially since I'm running out of other things to occupy my time :)

Homemade Giraffe, Curtains and Bed Skirt!
Stiles painted this bookshelf and did a GREAT JOB!

 Beautiful Crib and toy chest!
 Changing Table and ABC lamp!
 Sweet sweet Giraffe!!!!

Happy 36 weeks!

Happy Thursday to all of my blog buddies! I owe each of you SUCH A BIG apology for being so slack these last few weeks. Would you believe me if I told you I have been way to lazy to even update this blog?! Well, sadly that is partly the truth! We have also had a lot of company and last minute baby projects to try and squeeze in! We started our parenting class series a few weeks ago and also took Infant CPR this week. Its hard to believe we are less than 1 month away from our due date :) I had a mild freak out this week when i had my weekly doctors appointment and Dr. Evans informed us that I had already started the dilation process and my cervix was 50% effaced. I think Stiles and I both looked at each other and thought " are you kidding"! I know this doesn't mean baby bee is coming today or anything I could be stuck in this phase for a while but YA NEVER KNOW!!! We go back on Tuesday to see how things are progressing.. updates to come!
I'm sure everyone is ready to see how this baby bump is growing so I will post some pictures this evening! I don't have any with me at the moment. I have to say everyone definitely knows I'm pregnant now! WOW WOW WOW!
Sleeping is now my worst enemy. I swear I would rather sleep standing up. This kiddo has packed on the LB's and is destroying my poor ribs and insides! He/she is also noticeably MORE active during the night which makes me a little nervous of his/her sleeping habits! I have tried to reason with this little person but he/she is running the show with this one!
I'm sorry this post is so all over the place, I feel like its a great representation of my brain these days... More to come this evening! Enjoy your day!

Hugs from BIG BIG MAMA and growing little kiddo!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!!! I cannot believe we are already halfway through January! Time is going by too fast and we're not ready for Baby Bee, haha! We are still in the middle of getting things unpacked and organized at our new house. Things should start to really come together in the next few weeks, WE HOPE :) Our Christmas holiday was amazing! We actually made the long trip to Delaware, all FOUR of us. Yessssss, even Maxey Bear came along! He was such a good little rider, he even experienced his first hamburger happy meal! He got lucky since his Mom had no idea how to feed him in a moving car, rookie mistake! Shortly after our trip to Delaware I made ANOTHER trip back to the 1st State for my incredible baby shower. I am still completely blown away by how beautiful everything was and how blessed I am to have such an incredible family and friend base. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart to all of you who attended, it was so wonderful seeing everyone. I cant wait to bring baby bee back to Delaware this summer to meet everyone!

I am very behind with pictures so here's a few from the past month! I still cant believe we are 8 weeks away from Baby Bee's expected arrival date! We are so excited we can hardly stand it! I am feeling those little feet kick and kick and I just cant wait to hold those little piggies!! ahhhh! I hope everyone had a blessed holiday! I promise to be a better blogger in 2012!

I will be posting a copy of the newspaper article that I'm featured in later this week. Are you ready to laugh? I was interviewed for the MOM's section of the paper about my experience hunting for daycare's, lets hope i didn't say too much and I will be kicked off of every list :) haha! They even came to my office and made me do a mini photo shoot, so odd! I had to do lots of baby bump photo's which a lot of you know I HATEEEEEEE doing!!!! All of my co-workers laughed at me as i tried to look like a pregnant cover girl :)

Big hugs from Big Mama,

Utter Chaos!

I hope everyone is starting to get into the Christmas spirit and isn’t running around like a crazy person like I am J We are in the middle of a huge chaotic move to our new house, that is still under renovation I might add, and getting ready for a Christmas getaway to Delaware to see my family. After a very LONG Sunday of endless loading and unloading, I think I am still in recovery mode! The great news is we are so close to being OFFICIALLY MOVED IN!!!!
In addition to moving nonstop,  the last two weeks has been filled with so many wonderful events and activities that I can’t wait to share with all of you. A few of my favorite firsts involve a painting class, a baby bee celebration, a new nonprofit supporting an amazing cause and lots of Christmas parties! I promise to also upload some recent photos of my growing little bundle of joy who has officially eliminated most of my wardrobe options J I am learning to embrace the belly and just go with it because let’s be honest, did I really think I would have a flat tummy this whole pregnancy? Haha! Well, stay tuned for some photo’s and more clarification on the “Beehive happenings”! Oh and did I mention I am starting my 3rd trimester…….. holyyyyyyyyy cowwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Big Hugs from Big Belly Mama!

Hello December!!!!!

Good Morning!! I hope everyone had a wonderful week and a great start to the CHRISTMAS MONTH! Charleston has officially welcomed some cooler temperatures and I couldn’t be more excited about it! There was something unsettling about having temps close to the 80’s this close to Christmas. I have been dying to break out my comfy sweaters (the ones that still fit), big boots and oversize scarfs! If anyone is looking for some wardrobe inspiration this season, I highly suggest joining Pinterest! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about this site, and I mean EVERYTHING!! You have to have a current member send you an invite, so please message me if you would like to have a new addiction J Speaking of addictions, let me share with you my “Morning Musts” for the season!

LUNA LUNA, how I can’t seem to get enough of you! These women’s health bars are packed with vitamins and FLAVOR! I feel like I’m eating a candy bar, give it a try I promise YOU WILL LOVE LOVE LUNA BARS! My personal favorites are the Chocolate Peppermint Stick (which tastes like peppermint bark), and the NEWEST kind Chocolate Chip Chunk (omg)! HOLY SWEETNESS! Oatmeal Raisin is also my #3 favorite!!! Cheerios seems to be a personal Baby Bee favorite these days, and we have even had days where we have a bowl for every meal, weird… I KNOW! Cheerio’s seem so boring but for some reason I am lovingggggggg those little O’s!!! The last seasonal favorite is this unbelievably tasty coffee creamer I spike my decaff coffee with each morning! Nothing like a minty/chocolate blast to get ya going in the morning!!!! Add this one to your grocery list, I promise you will not be disappointed!!!!!

Yum Yum YUMMMMMMM!!!!

This week also marked WEEK 25 for the little babe and we even had a great check up at the doctors this week! Dr. Evans gets such a “kick” out of how much this little sugar kicks and fights for his/her release! I’m thinking it’s getting a little too tight in there for the little one and he/she needs bigger accommodations! I’ve informed the little one that that an upgrade is coming slowly but surely…..meaning my stomach is expanding to some pretty crazy lengths!!! As weird as this sounds, I never actually have been able to picture myself with the whole baby belly and now that its here im still getting use to it all. It hit me this morning that we only have about 3 more months left until we officially meet this little one!!!! Should I be panicking??? We still have to 1) Finish the new home remodel 2) MOVE 3) Travel to DE for the holidays 4) Finish the nursery 5) Sign up for baby classes 6) Figure out this whole parent thing J I have decided I may be the only expectant Mom who has read basically ZERO books, I have strong faith in the “you will just figure it out method”… who thinks I’m crazy??? Haha! I think maybe I should raise my own hand, haha!

25 weeks.... wowowowowowwo!

Note: no extra padding has been added to alter this photo- haha

Oh Baby Bee how big is this belly going to get???

Frontal 25 week picture! Smile Baby Bee!

On to a non-baby topic, who has started thinking of New Year’s resolutions? I would love to hear what everyone is planning to change/remove/add to their lives for 2012! One thing I have started doing is making “yearly bucket lists” of things I want to do/accomplish in the upcoming year! I actually would love to have an annual make your bucket list party with friends to gear up for another blessed and exciting year ahead! I will keep everyone posted on some of my items for my 2012 bucket list, I do know that running another Half Marathon WILL be on the list!!! Mannnnnnnnn I miss those long runs, sore muscles and trips to the NIKE outlet!!! Well, Maxey Bear is giving me the “take me for a walk before I start going bongo’s look” so we are off to enjoy this fall morning around the Island! I hope everyone has a blessed Saturday and for all the Tiger fans out there… GOOOOOOOOOO CLEMSON!!!

The PAW says it ALL!!! GO Clemson!!!!!!
