Hello 18 Weeks!!

Happy Thursday everyone and HAPPY 18 WEEKS BABY BEE! I was informed today in my weekly pregnancy update that you are now the size of a sweet potato, how funny! I’m beginning to feel some pressure and shifting going on in there young baby bee J I apologize with the tight “middle seat in coach” like accommodations in there, don’t worry you will be stretching out soon enough J My belly is starting to take off on its expansion rampage and the buttons on my pants are starting to sweat!!! Thank you to my pregnant friends who told me about the hair tie trick, I have a feeling I will be utilizing this VERYYYYYY soon! I look at the belly band I bought each morning and I don’t think I’m there yet, mentally! Well here are the 18 week bloated end of the day pictures for your amusement. Hold on everyone, this belly has a mind of its own! Have a great Friday!!!!

Heaven…. also known as the second trimester =)

Hi everyone, my apologizes for being MIA once again, I guess I’m taking advantage of this new burst of life I’m experiencing after 14 weeks in first trimester prison! I could have blogged everyday while I sat on my couch which felt like a desert island with little or no sign of civilianization or hope in sight, but this blog would have turned into a modernized version of Groundhog Day and I am no Bill Murray! Well, the baby officially released me from my Tom Hanks Castaway self and I am just LOVING LIFE again! I am especially enjoying shocking the heck out my taste buds with food other than bagels, English muffins and toast. I’m wondering if the Baby is going through serious carbohydrate withdrawals?!
I think the best gift of all has been my energy level!!! Finally I feel like a 28 year old rather than an 80+ old lady who struggles to reach the remote (which I totally understand now). My personal trainer, aka Maximo Bee, has been killing me in the workout department. He clearly practices interval training because one minute we’re walking the next minute we’re running, then sprinting, then walking…… I’m starting to understand the triggers and they all involve squirrels and birds. Although I desperately miss my long runs I am enjoying my short jogs with the fur ball. I do plan to sign up for some sort of race early next summer once Baby Bee has made his/her debut!
We had our second “listen to the heart beat visit” last week and everything was great! Baby Bee is VERY active and loved twisting and turning to get away from the heart Doppler. Our doctor was laughing and said how active of a baby he/she is. Our next big appointment is Nov 1st which will be my 21 week mark where they measure and look at the entire anatomy of baby bee. For those of you who I have not told, we are NOT FINDING OUT what Baby Bee is….we’ve decided to embrace one of the only true surprises left in life J Stay tuned for a picture of my 18 week belly this week J (i cant believe im turning 18 weeks this week!)
Thank you everyone for checking in on us and keeping sweet baby bee in your prayers! We love and miss all of you!
Hugs from South Carolina J
