Guess who FLU in for a visit to the Beehive?!?!

Man down, man down! I am sad to report that Stiles is quarantined in our guestbook with a rotten case of the FLU! Thank goodness we have Nurse Max on duty 24 hours a day attending to his every need. Too bad his work ethic is anything but diligent…
Sleeping on the job and with the patient! I think this is grounds for termination!

So much for the NO GOING UPSTAIRS rule! All house rules will resume once the Flu finally packs up and moves on outta the hive! A hard lesson learned…. Always always get your flu shot!

Sincerely,
take your germs and fevers and get the flu outta here! haha!

2010 Recap!

2010 was full of firsts, personal growth, challenges and proud accomplishments. As much as I like to think of myself as adaptable and easy going, those who know me well know this is absolutely not me! I am a creature of habit, I love routines and to do lists and I loathe goodbyes! I am the girl who cries during most TV shows and actually gets excited to read the little messages inside dove chocolates. I am beginning to feel like this blog is going to be quite entertaining especially since I am somewhat exposing all of my crazy quirks, which many I am proud to say I inherited from my amazing mother! Mom, Stiles catches me talking to Max and he says I sound so much like you…. “that means we’re friends” haha! Sorry folks, I will try to keep the inside jokes to a minimum. Ok, back to 2010 and the recap! June 2010 was tearful in both a good way and a sad way. Sad because I had to say goodbye to my friends, job and writing career in North Carolina and move to a new place! Happy because we grew our family just before i said goodbye! They say one in three relationships begin online, and that’s exactly where my relationship with my dog Max began. I think one too many glasses of wine and possibly that terrible Sarah McLaughlin animal commercial and there I was on the Humane Society website browsing dogs! I have to say, it truly was love at first sight! Although I absolutely hated his name on the website! Max was called “Little Man” which is actually quite funny now, considering he is a low rider. After several interviews, lots of money and a few hundred trips to Pet Smart Maximo Bee was adopted on June15th, 2010. Here is a picture of him on his first day as a Bee…

I brought him home and had no idea what to do next....

Look at that sweet face, no wonder he rules this house!
Max's first Skype Date... he looks thrilled haha!
As a dancer turner runner, i certainly ran my little heart out in 2010! Here are a few pictures from some great races!!!

A medal well deserved, lots of hours put into this goal and finishing this race around 2:08 was just INCREDIBLE! I cant wait for the next one!!!! San Diego Silver Strand Half Marathon 2010

While I was running all over the place, Stiles was working so hard to get his State Farm Agency up and running! He certainly worked hard for this opportunity and continues to do an amazing job! August 1, 2010 was a super BIG DAY for us! Congratulations on all you accomplished to open the doors and everything you continue to do each day!!! Stiles is loving being and agent on Daniel Island and is doing amazing!
Stiles' mobile billboard/hot ride! haha hey, it certainly gets the job done!

Putting in the flag my Dad gave him on his very first day as a State Farm Agent!

Even Maximo gladly wears his Stiles Bee State Farm t-shirt!!!

2010 closed a wonderful chapter of our lives but also opened a new and exciting journey ahead. We are loving our new life on Daniel Island and feel so blessed to be here! Bring on 2011 J

Never say Never

I have to be honest, I never in a million years thought I would ever start a blog. But here I am typing my very first entry and I am already loving it! People start blogs for a number of reasons or just because! I think the inspiration behind this blog is I wanted to have a centralized place to share the simple everyday pleasures and updates of my life with family and friends. Life changes faster than most of us like and I want to be able to reflect and enjoy each step of my changing life! Today I am a 27 year old gal who is married to the most wonderful guy I've ever known, and have been blessed with an adopted four legged wild guy who we both adore! Maximo, or maxey bear, as we all call him has been a handful and a blessing all wrapped in one! It is the first real responsibility Stiles and I have had together and we love him to pieces! Yes he is super naughty, doesn't listen, and has chewed his way through most of our things; but his unconditional love for us coupled with possibly the cutest face ever makes our hearts melt! We are so happy to have saved Max from the SPCA and are able to give him what my mother calls a "doggies dream"! She thinks hes died and gone to doggy heaven, and honestly i have to agree! Today is Max's favorite day of the week because we take him to the Bishop England baseball field and let him run the bases until he literally drains every ounce of energy out of his tank! We love family time on Sunday's especially since we get to enjoy our beautiful island! Today is Superbowl sunday and we are excited to watch the game with friends! Have a blessed Sunday my friends!!!!
