Happy New Year

Happy New Year!!! I cannot believe we are already halfway through January! Time is going by too fast and we're not ready for Baby Bee, haha! We are still in the middle of getting things unpacked and organized at our new house. Things should start to really come together in the next few weeks, WE HOPE :) Our Christmas holiday was amazing! We actually made the long trip to Delaware, all FOUR of us. Yessssss, even Maxey Bear came along! He was such a good little rider, he even experienced his first hamburger happy meal! He got lucky since his Mom had no idea how to feed him in a moving car, rookie mistake! Shortly after our trip to Delaware I made ANOTHER trip back to the 1st State for my incredible baby shower. I am still completely blown away by how beautiful everything was and how blessed I am to have such an incredible family and friend base. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart to all of you who attended, it was so wonderful seeing everyone. I cant wait to bring baby bee back to Delaware this summer to meet everyone!

I am very behind with pictures so here's a few from the past month! I still cant believe we are 8 weeks away from Baby Bee's expected arrival date! We are so excited we can hardly stand it! I am feeling those little feet kick and kick and I just cant wait to hold those little piggies!! ahhhh! I hope everyone had a blessed holiday! I promise to be a better blogger in 2012!

I will be posting a copy of the newspaper article that I'm featured in later this week. Are you ready to laugh? I was interviewed for the MOM's section of the paper about my experience hunting for daycare's, lets hope i didn't say too much and I will be kicked off of every list :) haha! They even came to my office and made me do a mini photo shoot, so odd! I had to do lots of baby bump photo's which a lot of you know I HATEEEEEEE doing!!!! All of my co-workers laughed at me as i tried to look like a pregnant cover girl :)

Utter Chaos!

I hope everyone is starting to get into the Christmas spirit and isn’t running around like a crazy person like I am J We are in the middle of a huge chaotic move to our new house, that is still under renovation I might add, and getting ready for a Christmas getaway to Delaware to see my family. After a very LONG Sunday of endless loading and unloading, I think I am still in recovery mode! The great news is we are so close to being OFFICIALLY MOVED IN!!!!
In addition to moving nonstop,  the last two weeks has been filled with so many wonderful events and activities that I can’t wait to share with all of you. A few of my favorite firsts involve a painting class, a baby bee celebration, a new nonprofit supporting an amazing cause and lots of Christmas parties! I promise to also upload some recent photos of my growing little bundle of joy who has officially eliminated most of my wardrobe options J I am learning to embrace the belly and just go with it because let’s be honest, did I really think I would have a flat tummy this whole pregnancy? Haha! Well, stay tuned for some photo’s and more clarification on the “Beehive happenings”! Oh and did I mention I am starting my 3rd trimester…….. holyyyyyyyyy cowwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello December!!!!!

Good Morning!! I hope everyone had a wonderful week and a great start to the CHRISTMAS MONTH! Charleston has officially welcomed some cooler temperatures and I couldn’t be more excited about it! There was something unsettling about having temps close to the 80’s this close to Christmas. I have been dying to break out my comfy sweaters (the ones that still fit), big boots and oversize scarfs! If anyone is looking for some wardrobe inspiration this season, I highly suggest joining Pinterest! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about this site, and I mean EVERYTHING!! You have to have a current member send you an invite, so please message me if you would like to have a new addiction J Speaking of addictions, let me share with you my “Morning Musts” for the season!

LUNA LUNA, how I can’t seem to get enough of you! These women’s health bars are packed with vitamins and FLAVOR! I feel like I’m eating a candy bar, give it a try I promise YOU WILL LOVE LOVE LUNA BARS! My personal favorites are the Chocolate Peppermint Stick (which tastes like peppermint bark), and the NEWEST kind Chocolate Chip Chunk (omg)! HOLY SWEETNESS! Oatmeal Raisin is also my #3 favorite!!! Cheerios seems to be a personal Baby Bee favorite these days, and we have even had days where we have a bowl for every meal, weird… I KNOW! Cheerio’s seem so boring but for some reason I am lovingggggggg those little O’s!!! The last seasonal favorite is this unbelievably tasty coffee creamer I spike my decaff coffee with each morning! Nothing like a minty/chocolate blast to get ya going in the morning!!!! Add this one to your grocery list, I promise you will not be disappointed!!!!!

Yum Yum YUMMMMMMM!!!!

This week also marked WEEK 25 for the little babe and we even had a great check up at the doctors this week! Dr. Evans gets such a “kick” out of how much this little sugar kicks and fights for his/her release! I’m thinking it’s getting a little too tight in there for the little one and he/she needs bigger accommodations! I’ve informed the little one that that an upgrade is coming slowly but surely…..meaning my stomach is expanding to some pretty crazy lengths!!! As weird as this sounds, I never actually have been able to picture myself with the whole baby belly and now that its here im still getting use to it all. It hit me this morning that we only have about 3 more months left until we officially meet this little one!!!! Should I be panicking??? We still have to 1) Finish the new home remodel 2) MOVE 3) Travel to DE for the holidays 4) Finish the nursery 5) Sign up for baby classes 6) Figure out this whole parent thing J I have decided I may be the only expectant Mom who has read basically ZERO books, I have strong faith in the “you will just figure it out method”… who thinks I’m crazy??? Haha! I think maybe I should raise my own hand, haha!

25 weeks.... wowowowowowwo!

Note: no extra padding has been added to alter this photo- haha

Oh Baby Bee how big is this belly going to get???

Frontal 25 week picture! Smile Baby Bee!

On to a non-baby topic, who has started thinking of New Year’s resolutions? I would love to hear what everyone is planning to change/remove/add to their lives for 2012! One thing I have started doing is making “yearly bucket lists” of things I want to do/accomplish in the upcoming year! I actually would love to have an annual make your bucket list party with friends to gear up for another blessed and exciting year ahead! I will keep everyone posted on some of my items for my 2012 bucket list, I do know that running another Half Marathon WILL be on the list!!! Mannnnnnnnn I miss those long runs, sore muscles and trips to the NIKE outlet!!! Well, Maxey Bear is giving me the “take me for a walk before I start going bongo’s look” so we are off to enjoy this fall morning around the Island! I hope everyone has a blessed Saturday and for all the Tiger fans out there… GOOOOOOOOOO CLEMSON!!!

The PAW says it ALL!!! GO Clemson!!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I know I’m a little late but I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones. I absolutely love Thanksgiving not just because of all of the yummy food or shopping deals, but because it is a time we can truly reflect and be thankful for everything in our lives. This thanksgiving I was especially thankful for my forever loving and supportive family & friends, good health and our sweet little bundle of joy who will be blessing the world with his/her utter sweetness in just a little over 3 months! This thanksgiving we spent time with our Charleston family in Rockville, SC and enjoyed a beautiful meal prepared by many giving hands. We did have a bit of a dilemma when the oven broke just before the last minute “warming up” of dishes and heating the rolls. Stiles took over and “grilled” the rolls on the grill, and only charred half of them, haha! Even though I should be use to splitting time with families I really did miss my family who ate like kings in Virginia, and our Savannah family who had thanksgiving in the mountains! Our hearts and thoughts were with both families that day!  A special thank you to Caitlan and Haley who enjoyed spending me pictures of all of my favorite dishes that they were indulging on… BRATS (haha).
Perhaps I lost my mind but I decided to venture out on Black Friday to try and catch some big sales, too bad many of the sales ended before my lazy tail was even out of bed! I did manage to snag a few Christmas gifts and some of my favorite onzies from Baby Gap for the little sugar! Here is a 24 week picture of how the little one is really growing!!!
Off to pick up Baby Bee's Nursery Furniture! THANK YOU MOM, DAD & MOM MOM! 24 weeks and 3 days!

Sunday evening.... 24 weeks and 4 days!
Saturday shaped up to be quite a heartbreaker….. my Clemson Tigers were dominated by the USC gamecocks which made my blood literally boil. I do have some anxiety that the words my poor child witnessed may scar him/her for life, haha! My temper may or may not have gotten the best of me, especially considering I watched the game with the most obnoxious gamecock fans (aren’t they all?) who enjoyed screaming and carrying on the entire game! I pray this kiddo remains a Clemson fan, I don’t think I could stomach being related to a GameCock fan J Let the brainwashing begin!!!!!

Happy Sunday to all of you, thank you for checking in on us. Sending special prayers and blessings to my mom’s dear friend Sharon who lost the love of her life this morning. We never know how long we have on this earth so soak up every minute of your day and give those loved ones and extra squeeze. Share your love with all of those who truly mean the world to you, leave nothing unsaid……
Big Hugs from South Carolina!

Welcome to the New Beehive!!!!

Happy Saturday blog buddies! Big news to share!!! We FINALLY closed on our new home and we couldn’t be happier about it! For those of you who have kept up with our house hunting adventures you can understand our relief and excitement to be finished! We had a few heartbreaks, breakups, close calls and mishaps along our journey to find the perfect home. We are so happy to be staying on Daniel Island; we absolutely LOVE our island town and could not imagine leaving! The funny part about this new home is the name of the street…haha. I’m already laughing because a few of you already know how much I HATE the street name and I even went so far to say “I WILL NEVER LIVE ON THAT STREET”….. Gee, how funny things work out the way they do.
Here is a little clue… compliments of our sweet realtor Terry, who found it particularly entertaining how resistant I was against the street…..

Elfe Street... pronouced like "ELF"..... yes I am officially a little person living on Elfe Street haha. My mom enjoys telling me that it will be the "Happiest Street on Christmas"... good god! Anyways, it may sound silly but i guess my Middle School years of being teased for being short have resurfaced hahaha!
Here is the NEW BEEHIVE!!!

oh yeahhhhh, thats MY HOUSE!!!!!!

aww its even GREEN for Christmas, haha!

On a serious note, we are so happy to have a place to bring our little bundle of joy home to.We even got a call last week that the Nursery Furniture is in, Yay! We are not moving in right away, we have a few remodeling projects to complete before. I will include some "before" and "after" shots soon. Thank you for checking in on us, all of you mean the world to us!

P.S. The Bump is growing at record speeds now.... next weeks picture should be entertaining.

Love,
Big Mama
